Spin Doctor is in charge of some of the last good hip hop nights to be found in London right now. I rolled down to 'On The Real' @ Plan B in Brixton last Friday, tempted there by the line up of Shortee Blitz, 279, MK and the man himself, Spin Doctor.
Shortee played some top tunes, there was no stone left unturned as he trawled through some massive hip hop classics. Jay & Drew Nice were at hand to provide karaoke vocals to ANY Nice & Smooth tunes that were played...
Drew Nice is gettin' a bit old for this whole nightclubbing thing...
Some people ran in terror, scared that the funk might end thier lives...
But most people just shocked out...
Unfortunately age got the better of me at about 3am and I skulked off to the 24hr food & wine before skinning up a fattie for the drive home.
All in all a top night. The young/old & male/female ratios were very well balanced, I'ma deffo be at the next one, big up Spin Doctor!
