Ace Cafe Reunion '08

Me and some of the lads made the annual pilgrimage from The Ace Cafe in Stonebridge, West London to Brighton last Sunday (14/09/08).

Due to a recent spillage we were already two men down before we even left.
This ride has been going on for years and people come from all over Europe and sometimes further to take part. The main purpose of the ride is to commemorate when bikers (or Rockers as they were known) used to ride to Brighton to beat up that bloke from Eastenders who used to ride a moped, and his mates (or Mods as they used to be called, i think now they're reffered to as 'Ronsons').

There were too many people at The Ace to even consider queueing for a coffee so I enjoyed a cocktail cigarette while me and 'C' waited for Skill Boy to arrive on his Ninja. Soon after he arrived the engines started and the madness begun. Unfortunately for C he suffered an electrical fault just as he started his bike. After it cut out a few more times he gave up and we had to leave him gully sittin' in Stonebridge flicking his cut out switch on and off like Erick Sermon might if he ever lost enough weight to ride a bike.

So now three men down, Me and Skill Boy pushed on towards Brighton. We got there after weaving through and behaving past some 'easy to spot' speed traps and sitting in a few motorbike traffic jams (which is one of the most bizarre things to be in, it just doesnt seem right).

We made our way straight to the fish n chip joint to cop some flash fried fish. We yammed that on the beach then wrestled our bikes out of the masses of machinery and shot off to some pub called 'The Office' which has a lovely courtyrad at the back, perfect for another sly doob.

A pint of cider later, me and Skill Boy took to the road again and headed back to London. Sorry I didn't take any pics after our ciggy stop on the M25 but Skill Boy did so I might update this post with more pics later on.

You ALL needs to buy bikes now, then you can be like me, Saigon & Busy Signal.
